What to take into your next appraisal
- Specify the project-finance structure before evaluating either product.
- Keep ARGUS Developer, EstateMaster and ARGUS Enterprise distinct.
- Feasly’s demonstrated ChatGPT workflow is in private preview and is not a public-directory release.
Define the product and assignment
This comparison brings together the linked vendor product information and Feasly’s available workflows. It is not an independent benchmark. Compare the edition, access and commercial terms you would use, and ask each provider to demonstrate the methods your project needs.
This page compares development workflows with ARGUS Developer. ARGUS Enterprise’s investment and lease-level analysis is a different product comparison. Likewise, an EstateMaster file is not evidence of an ARGUS Developer import.

What each product brings to the decision
| Decision | ARGUS Developer | Feasly |
|---|---|---|
| Development structure | Configurable project stages, residual land value and scenario analysis. | Supported development models with a workspace for assumptions, scenarios and source documents. |
| Funding | Official training covers multiple finance sources and waterfall distributions. | Evaluate the methods needed for your term sheet. The public UK example is all-equity and does not prove a debt or waterfall case. |
| Project monitoring | Snapshot is presented as an add-on for actuals, forecasts and budget tracking. | Confirm the live-project workflow and outputs you require. Wider ownership and portfolio capabilities have separate availability qualifications. |
| Delivery | Altus describes delivery through its ARGUS Cloud platform using Citrix. | A web workspace, with a private ChatGPT connection to the same saved projects. |
| Change and review | Vendor materials describe scenarios, sensitivities and reports. | Direct modelling and optional reviewed AI work. Save a separate Development or Underwriting scenario while keeping Base unchanged. |

Why a team might choose Feasly
Consider Feasly when you want people to work on the financial case from a shared project rather than reconstruct context for each question. A supported model, its documents and its alternatives can become the starting point for review. The Analyst provides an additional way to investigate and propose changes, with the Calculation Engine handling the financial calculation.
The private ChatGPT workflow is a concrete example: a signed-in user can work with the same Feasly projects, save an authorised change and then inspect it in the main application. A saved scenario can remain separate from Base. That continuity is worth evaluating if your team already uses AI in its daily work.
It does not remove the need to establish financial coverage. If the required draw sequence, fees, repayment logic or distribution method is unsupported, a convenient interface does not make the model suitable.

Bring the funding brief into the demonstration
Altus’s training scope expressly includes a multi-phase case with unit sales, capitalised rent, operated assets and structured finance. Treat that as a reason to take the funding brief seriously, rather than comparing only an unlevered development margin.
For your evaluation, specify the costs each facility may fund, the sequence of equity and debt, interest and fees, repayment timing, and investor distributions. Define what happens if receipts arrive later. Separate a contractual requirement from an assumption used for an early screen.
- Base case: reconcile project uses, funding movements and investor receipts.
- Delay: identify the effect on facility utilisation and required equity.
- Constraint: test a funding limit or repayment event relevant to the transaction.
- Scenario: preserve Base and keep the reason for the alternative with its results.
- Review: require a colleague to explain the cash bridge without relying on the demonstrator.
Do not assume an import is a complete migration
List the source format, product version and reporting conventions before evaluating a move. Ask Feasly to confirm the exact file and workflow supported. The private ChatGPT preview supports EstateMaster development and ARGUS Enterprise underwriting files. Native ARGUS Developer file import is not part of that preview.
Where direct import is unavailable, decide whether reconstructing a model from reviewed assumptions is worthwhile. Preserve the original and reconcile the new case. Do not call a manual rebuild a lossless conversion.

Choose on financial fit and usable continuity
ARGUS Developer may remain the appropriate choice where its configured development and finance workflow already meets your requirements. Feasly earns consideration when its supported methods fit and its connected workspace makes the next change and review easier to carry through.
Use the published UK case to inspect our calculation approach, then extend the demonstration to the financing and project complexity you actually need. Confirm access, modules, support and commercial terms in a dated offer.
